Membership Lunch Thursday 10/28
Hey, pencil this in on your calendars: The next GOLincolnGO membership luncheon has been set for Thursday, October 28, 2010, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 12th & M Streets. Ever notice the plaques in sidewalks and walls downtown stating that this was the site of an early church? Turns out that many of the first significant buildings in Lincoln were churches or related structures. Some are no more, some are still standing, and at least one was sold by one denomination to another! Ed Zimmer, city historic preservation planner, will tell us the story of these landmarks of the downtown and near-downtown area.
